The day of Tuesday, November 19, 2024 was very special for the princely family of Monaco, given that it was the Monegasque national holiday. Alongside this event, numerous festivities were organized on the Rock. Obviously, the Grimaldi clan had gathered to attend. Among the personalities present alongside Prince Albert, we can notably cite his niece, Charlotte Casiraghi, who came accompanied by her two children on Thursday, November 19 for the traditional family gathering at the princely palace. As a reminder, the daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco is the mother of two boys. The first, called Raphaël, was born in 2013, during his union with the famous French comedian Gad Elmaleh. The second, named Balthazar, was born in 2018, during his romantic romance with the famous film producer Dimitri Rassam. During the festivities, Charlotte Casiraghi's two children stood out.
In a sequence that went almost unnoticed, Balthazar Rassam addressed guests with frantic hand signals when he heard the music of the Carabinieri. For his part, Raphaël Elmaleh tried to temper his enthusiasm, as reported by the magazine Point of view. A scene perfectly summarizing the complicity that exists between Charlotte Casiraghi's two children. For his part, Prince Jacques also stood out during the Monegasque national holiday. As his father took his place in the main courtyard of the princely palace, the young boy, who will celebrate his 10th birthday on December 10, 2024, began a tender exchange with him. Dressed in a beautiful uniform, Jacques sent a military salute to Prince Albert, who immediately returned it. Father and son then hugged each other affectionately.
Monaco: the national holiday has been set for November 19 in tribute to Prince Rainier III
For the record, Monaco's national holiday, also called “sovereign day“, was traditionally fixed on the day of the patron saint of the reigning prince. However, Prince Rainier III had departed from this tradition by choosing the day of his enthronement (November 19, editor's note) which also happens to be the day of the celebration of Blessed Rainier of Arezzo. In memory of his father, Prince Albert II kept the same date, thus setting November 19 as the Monegasque national holiday.
