JUSTICE – A change of version. The influencer Kenza Benchrif, alias Poupette Kenza, finally admitted to having mandated a henchman in the extortion case for which she had been imprisoned, her lawyer Jérémy Kalfon told AFP this Wednesday, November 27. Initially, the young woman accused her husband, Allan Liehrmann, of having contacted this henchman. The latter had surrendered to the French police and is still behind bars.

“Ms. Benchrif acknowledges having accepted this man's offer of service, after unsuccessfully resorting to mutual friends and lawyers”declared Me Kalfon. “If she knew that this man was going to impress her former agent and her husband with his build and the effect of surprise, she never validated the direct or indirect threats of physical violence”he continued.

The former social media star is suspected of having hired a henchman to extract 350,000 euros from his ex-agent Caroline. In a clash on social networks, Poupette Kenza accused him of having diverted this sum to an account in the United States. The affair got out of hand when the henchman confronted the young woman and her husband as they left their children's school in their car, made death threats and placed GPS trackers on the vehicle, reports The Parisian.

The couple filed a complaint in February. Since then, the influencer has been indicted for attempted extortion by an organized gang and criminal conspiracy. She was placed in pre-trial detention in July, before being released on October 31 and placed under judicial supervision.

“I knew it would be a bit of pressure”

Analysis of Poupette's phone revealed 141 messages exchanged with the henchman, reports The Parisian. When the affair got out of hand, her husband allegedly asked her to blame him for « sacrifice » if she was arrested while she was six months pregnant.

According to her lawyer, Me Kalfon, the influencer declared “actually, I accepted, I was offered to mandate this guy to go and resolve my problem, I accepted, I obviously knew that it would be a bit of pressure (…) But that's not the case. everything I asked for.”

The lawyer finally specifies that “if we criticize influencers a lot, we must not forget that, like football players, they are the object of a lot of desire. Many people gravitate towards them and pretend to have solutions to all their problems in order to curry favor with them in the hope of getting money..

The young woman, aged 24, is pregnant with her third child. “I became famous, very quickly, too quickly”she declared, according to information from Parisian. The influencer also admitted in a letter to the judge: “I sometimes confuse my character who is in the permanent exaggeration of feelings with my real self. » His lawyer, Me Jérémy Kalfon, defends a woman “isolated and in complete discomfort”who would have lost his lucidity.
