Julian Bugier, panics on the news: “A little vagal discomfort”

On television, everything doesn't always go as planned. And it’s not Julian Bugier who will tell us the opposite! Guest on the show “A Sunday in the Country”, the journalist recounted this incident which occurred during his television news and which he will remember forever…

The guests follow one another on Frédéric Lopez's show A Sunday in the countryside…And the anecdotes, each crazier than the last too! On November 17, it was the journalist Julian Bugier who told his little story, which was incredible to say the least.

Julian Bugier recounts his first news: “I can’t hear anything anymore…”

Guest on 2's flagship show alongside comedian Laura Laune and the singer who needs no introduction, Dave, the 44-year-old television man spoke about his somewhat chaotic beginnings on the small screen. It must be said that his very first television news did not really go as he had imagined. In September 2011, when he had just been named joker for David Pujadas, at the time star of the antenna, there was a slight hiccup in the organization of the live…

“In the earpiece there is someone who speaks to you and the person who speaks to you is very important, it is an editor who tells you the topics to come (…) And after a few minutes, I can no longer hear anything in the headset”first told the PAF star.

The hiccup in Julian Bugier's first news report: “There were the firefighters, the panic…”

Finally, Julian Bugier learned that the editor-in-chief had just suffered vagal discomfort. “I was told that it had nothing to do with me but he had a little vagal discomfort, it can happen to anyone. He fell into management. So there were firefighters, panic and all that on my first day!” he remembered.

But since all's well that ends well, the editor quickly came to his senses and the team in place quickly explained the situation to Julian Bugier: “They told me, listen, 'Julian, everything is fine. There was a little problem in management'…”. A memorable debut, to say the least, which left its mark on the mind of the man who is today the star presenter of the France 2 news. Proof that this misadventure has not really dampened his spirits!
