A child of the 80s and a former collector of 2-track CDs, he developed a passion for music at a very early age, particularly English pop and French songs, of which he became an expert.

Chantal Goya surprised everyone by participating in the last season of “Mask Singer” in the Popcorn costume. The singer reveals today that she should have also joined the show “Dancing with the Stars”, but that she was ousted for a ridiculous reason: “No, but that’s okay, that’s enough”.

At 82, Chantal Goya continues to have fun. Still on stage, the singer still makes young and old dream with her show “Sur la route enchantée” where she reprises her role as Marie-Rose, surrounded by the cult characters who made her success, from Bécassine to Puss in Boots, including Pandi-Panda and Jeannot Lapin. Recently, the artist also made a surprise appearance in “Mask Singer” in the Popcorn costume. It just so happens that the producer is the son of Roland Hubert, who produced my first big show. He asked me to do “Mask Singer” through my producer and I said yes because it amused me. The person who made my costumes made my first costumes in 1977. At the time, she was 18 years old! ” confides Chantal Goya in the show “Chez Jordan” on C8.

“I got turned down”

And she could also have been in the cast of another TF1 show: “Dancing with the Stars”! I wouldn’t be able to… Oh yes, I did it at first but I got told off because I was laughing too much. They told me ‘You’re too playful'” ” revealed Chantal Goya to a bewildered Jordan Deluxe, before explaining that she had not understood this reason: ” I said that that was the secret of my success, that I always laughed. “The one whose songs are going to be adapted for the cinema has therefore passed the castings of “DALS”: ” It was before, long before, I had danced with a boy to some music, and then someone told me “No but it’s okay, it’s good, that’s enough” ” In this atmosphere, Chantal Goya welcomed the sentence with pleasure: ” Not only was I interested in being fired because I had a big date now, so I wouldn’t have to wait, and secondly because if I don’t have my legendary smile, it’s not possible. It can’t be Chantal Goya ».
