Faced with her reaction, Agathe Lecaron was however convinced that this feeling would disappear. “I felt that it wasn't going to last. It's very complicated because we've been told so much that suddenly we're going to discover the ultimate love. But what is this love? At what point I'm going to feel this thing that people told me about, this wave?“.
A useful testimony for all mothers
But this love at first sight between a mother and her child is not automatic, explains midwife Anna Roy: “Mutual love at first sight like in the movies is quite rare. I'm lucky to have experienced it but in fact I haven't seen it in many women, in reality. It's not very common to fall in love at first sight, she added. Totally normal.”
