Loana grandmother: her daughter refuses to let her meet her granddaughter

Loana Petrucciani was revealed by participating in the reality show Loft Storywhich she won. She notably made new confidences about her private life, and in particular about her family.

Loana and her daughter Mindy are “very different”

Loana became a mother in 1998, giving birth to a daughter named Mindy. She was placed in foster care and then her custody was given to her father, so she did not grow up with her mother. Today, their relationship is complex, and the forty-year-old explained: “We are very different. She doesn't really like the fact that I'm in the star system. She's very much a homebody…”.

If she tried to get closer to Mindy, explaining that they saw each other “several times”she recognizes that the situation is difficult. “It's true that she doesn't know me. She grew up with a foster family – I know that because despite everything, I didn't leave her behind. You don't just happen like that: ” I love you mom!” I preferred to cry in my corner rather than disturb her. She was very good, at the time I met the host family, who were wonderful. She then grew up with her father. How do I arrive ten years later? Even his father told me: “She has her own life, college, etc.”says Loana.

Loana was unable to meet her granddaughter

Loana's daughter became a mother in June 2017, and her daughter, named Maelysse, is now 7 years old. Loana explains that she is 20 years apart from her daughter, 40 years apart from her granddaughter: “My mother had me at 20, I had Mindy at 20 and she had a daughter at 20”. Currently, she has no contact with Mindy, who told her: “For now, I prefer to have a family life.” “She has my phone number, I have hers. I don’t want to bother her”explains the Lofteuse, specifying that she told her daughter that she could contact her if she needs anything and that she would be “still there”.

Because of this distance from Mindy, Loana never met Maelysse. A decision that she accepts: “She wanted to keep it for herself. I too would have wanted to keep mine, maybe it’s hereditary! But hey, I respect her choices.”
