The singer was not prosecuted for possession of a weapon

At the start of the investigation,
Kendji Girac
tried to hide his weapon because he knew he was trespassing. The artist, however, ended up telling the truth to investigators and admitted to being the shooter. The investigation was therefore closed without further action.

As Jean-Pierre Bastié revealed, he could have been prosecuted for two offenses : consumption of narcotics and possession of a weapon. The prosecutor, however, asked him to “pay two citizen contributions”, seeing that he had no criminal record and measuring “the seriousness of his offenses which contributed to his self-inflicted injuries”. A decision which probably played a role in his good recovery.
