the essential
A figure in the shows and films of the Chevaliers du Fiel, the actress Angélique Panchéri finally takes her place in a one-woman show written by Éric Carrière. To see at the Comédie de Toulouse.
Will you be “Pancheri-compatible”? This is the challenge that the actress and her mentor, Éric Carrière, set themselves for this “Very Speed Dating” which inaugurates the solo presence on stage of the muse of the Chevaliers du Fiel. “Angélique is looking for the man of her life, explains the director. And she absolutely wants to find him so, through speed dating, we will go through her life by playing down this kind of hyper trendy approach which, ultimately, saves people time.”
Once the premise is established, the two artists confide their pleasure in collaborating: “For ten years, Angélique has played in my plays (“Toulouse, j’adore!”, “Folle du Stade”…) and it is always a pleasure to write for her, I like her way of being, a way that is both anachronistic and hypereffective.” The potential identified, the evolution of the young woman quickly led to the writing of a first solo show presented during the Avignon festival. But the real debut arrives this week at the Comédie de Toulouse: “It’s a challenge,” explains Angélique Panchéri, “but I’m ready. I’m reaching fifty and I want to have my own show with improv, with everything I've learned here. The more you play, the more confident you feel.”
Koh-Lanta of love
“I am in the process of refining a text which offers three possibilities for improvisation with each question,” adds Éric Carrière. “It can only work if it is very organized. We can almost not rehearse this show, but on the other hand we have to stall all the turns, all the inconveniences, all the possibilities for Angélique to always land on her feet. She has a strong mind, she leaves no room for doubt in her practice of the profession. She has this kind of madness, which I find. 'also on stage I believe, to be able to attempt the unthinkable!”
Enthusiastic, the latter can't wait to take the plunge this Thursday evening: “It's a real speed dating that turns into a Koh-Lanta of love. The prize to be won is me!” Popularized by the plays signed Éric Carrière, the actress also appears in feature films (“Family Meals”, “Les Municipaux, ces Heroes” and “Les Municipaux, trop c’est trop”) as well as in the upcoming program , entitled “Mosquitoes and plancha, to see Friday November 27 at 9:10 p.m. on Comédie +.
