Michel Klein, emblematic veterinarian of the 90s, who became famous thanks to his appearances in the Dorothée Clubdied at the age of 103 and a half, on October 19. The man died peacefully in a hospice home not far from their home. Marie-Christine was present this Monday, November 4 at the crematorium of the Père-Lachaise cemetery (Paris), to say “goodbye” to this great gentleman, with whom she shared her life.
Dressed all in black, as tradition dictates, she seemed of course deeply marked by this sad disappearance. But she remained very dignifiedbeing notably photographed greeting, with a smile, the other guests.
Michel Klein left his mark, from 1987 to 1997, through his live interventions with Dorothée, where he introduced children from an entire generation to animals of all species. From 1987 to 1997. A period which he remembered with emotion last January, on the set of the show It starts today :“It reminds me of great times because Dorothée was extraordinary. For more than ten years, I appeared on the show with animals of all species: elephants, tigers, lions…”

He also spoke of his meeting with Dorothée (real name Frédérique Hoschedé) : “She was 18 years old, and we were doing Blablatus (the famous puppet, editor's note). I took dogs, cats and animals, which allowed me to furnish between two shows.” Note that Michel Klein has participated in other well-known TV shows, such as Telematin et Hello vetalways with the aim of raising public awareness of animal protection.
Let's not forget the show either Earth beware danger, broadcast between 1991 and 1995, always with Dorothée at his side. But Michel Klein wasn't just a TV star. He was above all a veterinarian, particularly recognized for his work with zoo and circus animals. He made a significant contribution to the development of veterinary practices in France.
