The main actor of the hit series “Dawson” announced that he has been battling colorectal cancer for several months.
For months, he fought the illness in silence. This Sunday, November 3, James Van Der Beek, known for having played the main role in the series “Dawson” at the end of the 1990s, announced that he was suffering from colon cancer. It was in the columns of “People” magazine that the 47-year-old actor shared the sad news.
“I have colorectal cancer. I have reason to remain optimistic and I feel good,” he said before going into more detail via his Instagram page. The father of the family says in particular that his announcement was abrupt by the curiosity of the tabloids.
