Leïla Bekhti met the man of her life on the set of the film A Prophet (released in 2009). In a relationship with Tahar Rahim since 2008, the duo is at the head of a tribe of four children, aged 7 years, 4 years, 3 years and 7 months. Faced with journalists from Marie Claire in 2012, the 40-year-old actress spoke of the one she calls her “Prince Charming“. “Yes. He's my prince charming. It makes my life sweeter. He has a white heart” she confided straight away, even if she remains very discreet about their love. “Of someone who is not nice, I say he has a black heart. We don't see anything there” then explains the actress.
“Were you waiting for a man with whom you imagine spending your whole life?“the journalists then ask.”Yes. And I believe in it wholeheartedly. I believe in loyalty. I'm an endurance person, I don't want to give up at the first problem. I want to fight.”On the other hand, I wouldn't stay for reason, and I'm so whole that I can never pretend. Then he wouldn't even be able to brush against me“replied Géraldine Nakache’s friend.
Leïla Bekhti has “forgotten everything” since Tahar Rahim
Very happy with the director – currently starring in the film Monsieur Aznavour – she has already told him that before their story, “there was nothing“. A sentence full of meaning. It explains itself: “There was my family, and they are still there. You saw how I love them. I was talking about romantic feelings. Men have passed through my life, but I forgot everything when I met him“.
A solid couple who have also decided to move far from the capital, into the great outdoors. Interviewed by Paris Match, she revealed the secrets of their love at first sight 16 years ago: “I arrived at the end, for only four days. Tahar understood that I was stressed, and he was very kind to me (…) I noticed that we didn't let each other be indifferent, but we didn't have the mindset for that. We took our time, as if we wanted to patiently begin a beautiful story that would be the ultimate“. So far, the two lovebirds don't seem to have made a mistake!
