When will The Weeknd's new album “Hurry Up Tomorrow” be released? The question remains unanswered, especially since the Canadian star continues to disseminate clues about this new era, probably the last under his famous stage name. After numerous cryptic teasers, the singer gave a giant concert in Sao Paulo during which he revealed eight unreleased tracks. Among which the lead single synthpop “Dancing in the Flames” and the darker “Timeless”. If the first did not make a splash in the charts (89 million plays on Spotify), the second, a rap duet with Playboi Carti, allowed him to sign the best start of his career in streaming and now counts 155 million plays on Spotify. But what fans were waiting for the most was the release of “São Paulo”, an incendiary new release unveiled during his concert in Brazil and shared with the country's star, Anitta.

Pink notebook for Anitta!

Right on Halloween, The Weeknd today responds to fan demand by finally unveiling “São Paulo”. A completely crazy title, like its music video, between big synths, Latin rhythms and devastating electro beats. For several days, the Canadian artist has been sharing mysterious publications from the Brazilian star revealing that she is… pregnant, but with a more than strangely shaped belly! A happiness that occurs only in the context of this clip, officially designated as the most WTF of the week. In this video directed by Freeka Tet, we see pregnant Anitta walking in the streets, except that a mouth finally appears on her round belly, then singing parts of The Weeknd's song, while the singer multiplies lascivious poses on a car .

A strange but sensational result: the clip for “São Paulo” is already ninth in trends on YouTube with 1.7 million views recorded in 13 hours. Note that if the clip lasts 3 minutes 30 minutes, the full version of the song, available for streaming, lasts a total of five minutes. With this third extract, The Weeknd blurs the lines on this new album, which promises to be synthpop, electro, rap and Latin in turn.
