He passed away peacefully in his house in Douchy, surrounded by his three children and his family. His family kindly asks you to respect his privacy in this extremely painful moment of mourning.“, they wrote in this text. They also shared their emotion at the flood of tributes received by their father after his death. The sacred monster of French cinema had the right to a funeral in complete privacy and he now rests , as he desired, in his house in Douchy near his dogs.

This Sunday, October 20, Anthony Delon broke the silence for the first time since the death of his father at the microphone of RTL, in order to discuss his mourning. “Bereavement takes time, things fall into place. There are ups and downs naturally. It’s never easy,” he declared. “All the people who built my life, who made me what I became, are all gone”he also noticed. Alain Delon’s eldest son had a hard time hiding his emotion during the closing ceremony of the Lumière Festival in Lyon which paid tribute to the actor with the screening of the film Full sun. “There are still not many who have made, according to each person’s choice, three, maybe four masterpieces. This film is one of them and around twenty very great films”, emphasized Anthony about his father’s career in images broadcast by BFM Lyon. “In the three days after his disappearance, when it happened, I thought of him and I said to myself : ‘You see, we haven’t forgotten you'”he concluded his very moving speech, in tears.

At the microphone of RTL, Anthony Delon revealed the project he has in mind to continue to keep the memory of his father alive in Douchy. He would like the latter’s house “become a museum” et “continues to live one way or another“. According to him, it was not “I don’t want it to become a public place” and it would even have made the actor happy.
