He waited seventeen years for this film: this Thursday, May 23, 2024, Gilles Lellouche finally arrived on the Croisette to present his new feature film as director, Phew Love. Highly anticipated by fans and critics, his entire cast (or almost!) was with him on the red carpet to pose in front of the photographers.

And pulled out all the stops: if the tanned Gilles Lellouche wore a black suit with an open collar, François Civil had pulled out the tuxedo and bow tie. Particularly popular with the public upon his arrival, he joined his partners and in particular Adèle Exarchopoulos, leading female role and his accomplice for several years.

Particularly elegant too, the actress had chosen an ultra-low-cut black dress with a slit on the thigh which completely highlighted her. Radiant, she posed for a long time with her partners and in particular Mallory Wanecque, the young actress who plays her teenage role. But when he was going up the steps, it was on the arm of François Civil that we could see him: after posing in front of the photographers together, the actor did not fail to extend his hand to help him up. An elegant gesture that shows their closeness!

An impressive cast for L’Amour Ouf

Also in the film, Elodie Bouchez chose a dress of a completely different type: with her bustier, she decided to highlight her figure, and shone brightly! Also in the casting, Alain Chabat arrived on the arm of his partner Tiara before joining his partners. Raphaël Quenard, already starring in several films during the fortnight, had chosen a dark suit, while Jean-Pascal Zadi and Vincent Lacoste were more sober, in a classic suit.

A five-star cast who ended up sitting under the ovation of the Palais des Festivals, ready to discover Phew Love and its gripping but very ambitious screenplay for Gilles Lellouche, who discovered the book which inspired his film when he was only a young director, 17 years ago, following literary advice from Benoit Poelvoorde . Realizing that it was impossible for all of this to be financed, he then waited, realized The Great Bath before finally meeting the right producers.

A couple against all odds

And to present the scenario to its two main actors: after the release of North Bac, in which they played together, Gilles Lellouche had François Civil and Adèle Exarchopoulos read his film. And the success was very rapid: telling that he “burst into tears so hard that people got worried” at the end of the script in an interview on the set of C to youFrançois Civil was joined by his comrade: “You want to call people, your father to say trivial things but quite simply ‘Hello, dad, I love you’“, said the actress during the same show.
