The Leisure and Culture Department of the City of Saint-Georges, in collaboration with the MRC of Beauce-Sartigan, rewarded, this Friday, October 17, amateur photographers as part of the Clin d’œil sur la Beauce 2024 competition .
During a special evening organized at the Marie-Fitzbach cultural center, 101 photos submitted around the theme “Lines and curves” were presented, and 30 of them were selected for the exhibition.
Four photographers were honored for their works and shared a total of $1,400 in prizes. Here are the winners:
– Jury Prize ($400): Ephemeral art by Dany Mercier (Saint-Georges)
– Wow Prize ($400): Celestial Diamond by Marc Doucet (Saint-Georges)
– Wink Prize ($400): Sinuous path of Marjolaine Giguère (Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce)
– Public Favorite Prize ($200): Reflection by Isabelle Bureau (Saint-Georges)
The exhibition of winning photographs is open to the public at the Marie-Fitzbach cultural center until November 10. Subsequently, a traveling exhibition of these works will be organized in several municipalities of the MRC of Beauce-Sartigan in 2025.
The organizers are now inviting amateur photographers to prepare their creations for the 2025 edition of the competition, the theme of which will be “Ode to nature”.
