Sylvie Tellier: return to her terrible skiing accident

Skiing is one of the French’s favorite sports… but it is also one of the most dangerous. In December 2021, Sylvie Tellier was in the mountains to enjoy the joys of winter sports, an activity that she particularly likes. However, during this ski session, she had a violent fall, causing a serious injury.

The accident led to a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligaments, a tear of the internal ligament, as well as a fracture of the tibial plateau. A combination of injuries required rapid medical intervention and prolonged recovery. Immobilized for several months, the former beauty queen fortunately received a wave of support from her loved ones and admirers.

“The end of the year is off to a bad start for me”she wrote on Instagram from her hospital bed, accompanied by a photo showing her with a leg brace, before adding with humor: “I’ll spare you the video of my fall.”

A daily life marked by pain

Sylvie Tellier’s ski accident was not limited to a simple injury and an operation. The rehabilitation that followed was intense and lasted several months. Cruciate ligament injuries, in particular, are known to be among the most difficult to treat, due to the time required to regain full mobility and stability of the knee.

During this period, Sylvie Tellier had to adapt her schedule, limit her travel and, on several occasions, go to intensive physiotherapy sessions. Two years after this accident, the pretty 44-year-old blonde continues to show resilience.

On Instagram, Miss France 2002 has just given her news by answering a subscriber’s question about her knee. “I had surgery after tearing my cruciate and internal ligaments while skiing, the operation went very well. But for six months, I have had patellar pain, especially when I play sports, so I did a follow-up MRI to see if my cartilage was damaged”.
