Like every year, the Sunday Times has revealed its ranking of the greatest British fortunes. In total, the United Kingdom has 165 billionaires, six fewer than last year. A number that tends to decrease over the years, since in 2022, there were 177 billionaires in the country, a record never equaled.
Unsurprisingly, we find some beautiful people in this very select list. We can notably cite Paul McCartney. The former member of the Beatles has also joined the billionaires club, he is the first British musician to have this honor. Among the new arrivals, we can notably cite the F1 driver, Lewis Hamilton, as well as Euan Blair, the son of Tony Blair (the former Prime Minister).

But what about the new ruler? If we believe the Sunday Times, Charles III is in 258th place in this ranking, with a fortune estimated at 610 million pounds. The British daily nevertheless explains that his heritage was not taken into account. Remember that he now owns several properties as monarch, this is notably the case of the Duchy of Lancaster.
With 610 million, Charles III is therefore richer than his mother was at the time of her death. In fact, Queen Elizabeth II had a fortune estimated at 450 million pounds in 2022 when she died at the age of 96.
