Former first lady of France Carla Bruni spoke on her Instagram account about her fight against cancer. The singer considers herself lucky to have been able to detect it in time.
In 2019, Carla Bruni was diagnosed with breast cancer. Difficult news to take that she only revealed publicly four years later on the occasion of Pink October, dedicated to raising awareness of this disease, according to the magazine Femme Current.
In September 2023, Carla Bruni revealed on her Instagram account: “Four years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Surgery, radiotherapy, hormonal therapy, I follow the usual path for this type of cancer. But I was lucky, my cancer was not yet aggressive. Because he didn’t have time to become one. Because every year, on the same date, I have a mammogram. If I hadn’t done this every year, I wouldn’t have a left breast today.”
