It’s a fact. Any mother in the world has an instinct for self-preservation when it comes to the layette or the first clothes worn by her children. And this in the hope that these rarely damaged clothes, often still of good quality, will be used again in the bosom of family or friends. Kate and her sister Pippa Middleton were no exception to the rule.
Mothers of three children each, they have had plenty of time to build up a wardrobe over the years that would make more than one fashionista swoon. Private vacations in the countryside, family vacations in the sun, social events and obligations linked to the rank of the little princes, oblige. But then what to do with all these clothes? Recycle them, of course! And as a priority, by lending them to each other, by exchanging them. A circuit which is not limited to them alone since James Middleton, beloved brother of the wife of Prince William and his younger daughter, has just confided in a recent interview given to the British newspaper The Telegraph also benefit from these advantageous loans.
At least not him directly, but his one-year-old son Inigo, the last born of the Middleton clan. Thus, we learn that the little boy is already wearing or is about to wear some of the most beautiful finery that once belonged to his cousins George, Charlotte, Louis, Arthur, Grace and Rose. Moreover, James Middleton points out that when Kate and Pippa give him some of their old clothes, “These are memorable moments, because they remember when their child wore the clothing and how old they were – it brings back memories for them. It’s a wonderful experience for them.”
Close to these two female figures, the young father continues by paying tribute to them. He who finds it “fascinating to see them become mothers and to see their dedication and their strength strengthen. I am impressed by that”. A James Middleton who also reveals that he takes all the good advice on parenting that Kate and Pippa are willing to give him on a daily basis. Or the simple strength of family ties…
