One Olympic controversy chases another? After Aya Nakamura, it’s the turn of Marseille rapper Jul to take his place. While many observers expected that it would be the football star Zinedine Zidane who would ignite the cauldron of the Olympic flame, some French people expressed their surprise at the sight of the rapper Jul for this symbolic gesture. “Marseille, we are here!” he chanted, making his famous “J” sign (for Jul) with his hand.
