Eva Longoria made a true declaration of love to “Desperate Housewives”. The American series celebrated its 20th anniversary on October 3, an opportunity for the actress to share souvenir photos with her neighbors from Wisteria Lane.
Already 20 years old! On October 3, 2004, “Desperate Housewives” aired its very first episode in the United States. A symbolic date for Eva Longoria, who wanted to celebrate the anniversary of the series. On Instagram, the American actress shared several photos of this experience which, as she quotes, “changed everything” for her.
Excerpts from episodes, unpublished images from filming or even nostalgia for her legendary looks in the skin of the sensual Gabrielle Solis: Eva Longoria has lots of memories. Moved, the 49-year-old star added a nice text to the publication, in which she wrote: “So many memories, so many episodes (we filmed 24 episodes per season at the time!), and so many iconic outfits” .

L’ex-Tony Parker’s girlfriend appears alongside actresses Marcia Cross (Bree), Teri Hatcher (Susan), Felicity Huffman (Lynette) and Brenda Strong (Mary Alice), those who were her neighbors, best friends and fictional comrades in sin for almost eight years. If their relationships on the set were sometimes criticized, Eva Longoria had always clarified things and once again put an end to the rumors of an argument between the five women.

Eva Longoria also thanked the American screenwriter and producer Marc Cherry, who accompanied him throughout this adventure: “ I am so grateful for my lifelong mentor.” She also celebrated the anniversary of the series by resharing numerous photos in stories.

Wisteria Lane cast reunited soon?
If Eva Longoria has a great career to her name, it is certain that “Desperate Housewives” marked a real turning point in her career. “Everything I know about cinema and television, I learned in this series,” she testified on the sidelines of the publication. During an interview given to Canal+ during the Cannes Film Festival on May 20, José Antonio Bastón’s wife revealed: “I miss playing Gabi, I miss Wisteria Lane […]. It’s one of the best experiences of my life.”

If Eva Longoria had assured that there would be no spin-off on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the series, she had nevertheless sowed doubt concerning a potential return of the casting. The actress had in fact announced that “a special reunion” would be held to celebrate this very special day.
For comparison, “Friends” brought together all the actors for its 17th anniversary in 2021. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt Leblanc, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer found themselves on the legendary set of the series in order to film a documentary entitled “Friends: Les Retrouvailles”. Perhaps “Desperate Housewives” could follow the same route, to be continued…
