Frances Bean Cobain and her husband, Riley Hawk, have announced the birth of their first child. The daughter of the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and singer Courtney Love declared on her social networks on Sunday that she had given birth to a boy twelve days earlier. The couple named their baby Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk.
“Welcome to the world, our most beautiful son. We love you more than anything,” the caption read. In a series of black and white family photos, the newborn can be seen holding his mother’s finger and being in his father’s arms.
Many of the couple’s famous friends and family members shared their well-wishes in the comments, including happy grandfather, former professional skateboarder Tony Hawk, who humorously declared: “My favorite grandson!”
Frances Bean Cobain first revealed her romance with Riley Hawk in 2022. The couple married in October 2023, in an intimate ceremony officiated by Michael Stipe, frontman of REM and godfather of the young woman. This is his second marriage. She was married to musician Isaiah Silva from 2014 to 2017.
Frances Bean Cobain was just 19 months old when her father, Kurt Cobain, died in 1994.
