Claude Lelouch’s latest film, partly filmed in Biterrois, is screened this Tuesday, October 1, 2024 in preview at the Kinepolis cinema from Béziers. A little more than 300 spectators will therefore have the privilege of discovering it in the presence of the director before the official release on November 13.
Claude Lelouch, who will celebrate his 87th birthday at the end of October, had packed his bags for two weeks in June 2023 in the Béziers sector after a scouting at the end of winter. He fell under the spell, the Béziers-Médiranée Tourist Office told us at the time. On the screen, the Biterrois is more highlighted than in 1968. At that time, a certain Louis de Funès made the headlines on the big screen with “Le Petit Baigneur” by Robert Dhéry.
A touching film with a simply exceptional Kad Merad
“Finally” is the name of this 51st film by Claude Lelouch with Kad Merad in the lead role. At her side, Elsa Zylberstein, Michel Boujenah, Clémentine Célarié and the short appearance of Firmin Gruss (from Folies Gruss).
This feature film, lasting just over two hours, tells the story of a brilliant Parisian lawyer who gives up everything when he learns that he suffers from fronto-temporal degeneration. He then engages in a road trip with a trumpet across France, with a passage in Normandy, Avignon and Hérault.
Throughout his adventure, Lino, who is inspired by the story of the clients he defends (a defrocked priest or even a porn film director), will realize that ultimately, everything that happens to us is for our own good !

A very touching dramatic (and musical) comedy that France Bleu was able to discover in preview on Friday September 27 during a screening at the Kinépolis cinema in Béziers. Kad Mérad is simply exceptional.
Monique Boulze, from the Béziers Tourist Office, also fell under the spell. It was she who introduced Claude Lelouch to the Biterrois by offering him several filming locations. Wise choices. The director filmed in particular at the old cemetery of Béziers, on the Pont-Vieux, in a flea market, at the court, at the Henri IV high school, in the old episcopal palace, at the Saint-Privat clinic in Boujan-sur-Libron, or again in Sérignan, in Babeau-Bouldoux (hamlet of Cauduro) near Saint-Chinian.
