What assessment can you make of your honeymoon?
I have a more than positive assessment of it. We had a great honeymoon. We got to know each other, we talked a lot. We share more and more and I want to discover it even more. I want to go further with her and so does she. This honeymoon was exceptional. I wish it didn’t end.

How did you approach returning to Belgium?
I had no apprehension at all because we talked a lot during this honeymoon. We came back and we both had the same vision of how it was going to be in our next life and our future, to be able to live together one day.
How did you feel when you discovered Tiziana’s house and when she came home?
I felt good at her place. She was happy for me to arrive at her house, to introduce me to her house and to make me feel like I was part of her life. Conversely, when she arrived at my house, she quickly found her feet and I felt this desire to be part of my life too.

How was the first journey between Tiziana’s home and yours?
We left home, she decided to drive to soak up the journey that would become a recurring part of her life. There wasn’t really any discomfort. We had weather conditions that were not really ideal for the route. She was very focused because this journey was new to her. We stayed focused and I showed him the route to take.
Did you try to reassure her on this path she feared?
Yes. It’s a long journey but I reassured her that it was fairly direct and easy roads. And I felt that she still enjoyed making this trip, coming to my house and discovering my house.

How is the understanding between your daughters and your wife?
We feel that Tiziana appreciates my daughters as much as I appreciate hers. We feel a good chemistry between the five of us and the very family side of Tiziana, who is very protective. She wants this union of five.
Can you imagine yourself building a blended family?
We will think about future projects. What is certain is that we have this desire for a blended family, we want it. We start planning future activities as a family, vacations. We feel this desire on Tiziana’s part to be reunited as a fivesome in the future.

How could this be achieved in practice?
We’ve already discussed it. The problem is that our daughters have their own house and also their other parent who is in the area. We thought a lot about this and said that we cannot change girls from their environment and remove them from their other parent. They didn’t ask for that. We thought about it and in the near future we will be the ones going to each other’s homes, depending on our childcare. I will go to her house for a week and she to mine for a week. For a long time it will be like that and on weekends, there would be some where there would be five of us, like for the holidays.
You organized a meeting between your friends and those of Tiziana. How did it go ?
The evening went very well. Tiziana is very well integrated among my friends and so am I. And our friends get along really well too. It’s as if we already knew each other from before.

What did you think of the remarks from Tiziana’s friends who fear that she will move away from them by getting closer to you?
I respect these kinds of comments because I find it normal. They are his long-time friends and they sure are protective. But I think Tiziana makes the choices she has to make. I think that’s really cool of them. We feel that there is a very great friendship. The fact of reacting like that means that they are very good friends, very protective. It’s certain that they are worried because it’s a new story but I know that they will be reassured that it is taking off too. And Tiziana will never leave them behind.

Are you afraid that this will influence Tiziana’s choices?
No way. I know that’s not the case. Her friends just want her to be happy. If his happiness is to be with me, they will never go against that.
