Fight against depression
Although he did not accept the offer, James Middleton states in his book that he experienced this reading as an accomplishment in his life, having been diagnosed with dyslexia as a child.
In his book, Kate and Pippa Middleton’s little brother also looks back on darker moments in his life, such as his depression, which he was diagnosed with in 2019. He details his years-long struggle to overcome it and how certain things, such as the presence of his dogs, helped him get back on his feet.
This is not the first time that James Middleton, who has lived in the shadow of his sisters since childhood, has addressed this delicate subject. In 2019, he already told the media The Telegraph having gone through a difficult, “dark and miserable” period, during which he could “no longer do anything”, including seeing his family or talking to his loved ones.
