      “It’s

      complicated”

This Tuesday, August 27, Benjamin Castaldi participated in the show Jordan’s Poolbroadcast on C8. The 54-year-old TV presenter and columnist, who decided to no longer work with Cyril Hanouna at the start of the school year, finds himself in financial difficulty. Explaining that he had become “unemployed”, Aurore Aleman’s husband said that he “doesn’t work” even if he does not receive any state aid to get by. “I am not entitled to unemployment benefits even though I have paid contributions all my life,” he complained, while his interlocutor could not help but say, with amusement: “Fortunately, though!”

More seriously, Benjamin Castaldi clarified that he did not have “no income for six months now” and have no other choice but to “to live on love and fresh water”. Apparently, the former presenter of Secret Story can rely entirely on his wife and mother of his youngest son, Gabriel, born on August 27, 2020, who pays for everything. “She took over because, as I don’t have much, it becomes complicated,” he admitted frankly. Indicating that he had not “nothing at all” as financial support to help him get his head above water, Simon’s father, Julien, Enzo revealed that he will have to move very soon with his wife to find a much cheaper apartment: “We’re going to take a smaller size, we’ve made decisions. I do what all French people do when things aren’t going so well. And they’re going much less well, we’re adapting, that’s it!”

A former limitless spender

Considering that his situation is not “nevermind”, Benjamin Castaldi declared that he therefore intended, with Aurore Aleman, to in 45 m² instead of living in 120”. The positive side being, in a way, that his current apartment is a rental, and that he will therefore be able to leave it more easily for another, more affordable one, than if he had to find a buyer. The former star presenter of TF1 had, throughout his life and especially when he was at the height of his career, a disconcerting ease in spending his money. In October 2021, the columnist of TPMPRaymond Aabou, confided that his colleague had already told him that he had spent 750,000 euros in one week at the Monaco casino. A crazy sum that proves the comfortable lifestyle of the host, who clearly did not know how to save much afterwards to protect his family.
