Paléo says it is “proud” to now be a “Greener Festival”. This certification rewards the sustainability policy of the Nyon event. This is the first French-speaking festival to obtain it.
In 2024, the independent company A Greener Future conducted a field audit and analyzed publishing data, such as waste management, energy consumption, food and mobility. “The result underlined Paléo’s commitment to environmental protection and the effectiveness of the measures in place to reduce its impact,” communicates the festival.
The organizers point out that Paléo is a pioneer in many areas, notably returnable dishes or the use of 100% green electricity. In 2022, the Paléo Arts & Spectacles association reaffirmed its commitment by establishing a carbon reduction objective of 25% by the 50th edition of the festival in 2027.
Following its “Greener Festival” certification alongside major events like Sziget in Budapest and We Love Green in Paris, Paléo competes in the International AGF Awards, which reward the commitment of festivals in this area.
