The possible sale of Eurofighter to Turkey is testing relations between France, Great Britain and Greece, according to consistent sources. On the one hand, London and BAE Systems insist on exporting 40 Eurofighter Typhoons to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's Turkey, which has expressed an interest on condition that it can also acquire the Meteor, a very capable long-range air-to-air missile that can reach a target more than 100 kilometers away . This would allow the Turkish Air Force to compete with the Greek Rafale armed with Meteor. On the other hand, Greece, which very recently received its latest Rafale (24 aircraft) is asking Paris, with which it signed a strategic partnership in 2021, to oppose the sale of this air-to-air missile.
