From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. this Friday, January 17, 2025, the André Renault gymnasium will host a conference on Olympism and Paralympism intended for middle school students from Troarn, around twenty kilometers from Caen (Calvados).
An inspiring conference for middle school students
Jason Grandrybronze medalist in para judo at the 2024 Paralympic Gameswill be accompanied by other renowned local athletes : Olivia Lanes et Benjamin LacroixNorman Paralympic sitting volleyball athletes. With them will join Sandra Dijonformer player of the French basketball team, the Caen speaker Pierre Salzmann-Crochet and the president of the CDOS of Calvados, Patrick Ozouf.
Two 90-minute sessions are planned (1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.-4 p.m.) to allow as many young people as possible to participate in this enriching exchange.
Mass training with the champion
Highlight for this day, Jason Grandry will direct mass training open to all Calvados judokas from the junior category. This exceptional session will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the André Renault gymnasium. For the judokas present, this day will be an opportunity to learn more about experience and values who carried the French champion to the Paralympic podium.
With such a guest to support their event, L’EST Troarn and the Calvados departmental judo committee invite all judo enthusiasts to come in large numbers for this unique encounter with a champion who embodies perseverance and surpassing oneself.
