The Western City site in #Chaudfontaine taken over by a new structure which intends to develop it

A little over two years ago, the Western City site in Chaudfontaine was put up for sale. But the western village nevertheless continued activities of western shows with its horses, in season, and rental of halls.
The commune of Chaudfontaine announces today that the entire site and its activities have been taken over by Ateliers de la Vesdre. This is an initiative supported by the “TRES” operation (formerly “Zero Unemployment Territory”) co-financed by Wallonia and the FSE and which aims to create local economic niches in order to create employment for people who have been deprived of it for at least two years.

One of the visible changes is the opening of the Western Restaurant, which will be inaugurated this Friday on the site. The Chef, Nicolas Corman, well known for having managed the “Hôtel de la Poste” in Hamoir for 20 years, decided to take on this new challenge. He has just trained his new team in TEX-MEX cooking techniques.

The opening of the restaurant marks the first stage of the new development of the site which will focus on the “Western Dream Lodges” (thematic rooms) already welcoming customers, a “Western Adventure (Group activities) which will offer team-building as well as days schools. But also rental boxes for horses and ponies.
