The Cercle des ECO organized a round table on November 7 under the theme of “Cap Hospitality, an opportunity to modernize the tourism sector”. It was attended by Hind Driouech, executive director in charge of the Enterprise Market of Attijariwafa bank, Imad Barrakad, general director of the Moroccan Society of Tourism Engineering (SMIT), and Salma Bellamine, executive director of the Mohammed VI Fund for Tourism. ‘Investment. The meeting was moderated by Meriem Allam, publishing director of the newspaper Les Inspirations ÉCO.
According to the explanations of Salma Bellamine of the Mohammed VI Fund for Investment, “the Cap Hospitality program was designed to boost and encourage hotel establishments to update themselves, in view of the major events that Morocco is preparing to host.
This involves setting up a financial product that can encourage companies to subscribe to it to renovate their hotels. In a word, Cap Hospitality consists of a credit which can reach an amount of 100 million dirhams and for which the State reimburses, on a quarterly basis, all of the interest.
The hotel establishment only has to take care of the main one. It is intended for a certain number of eligible businesses. The main interest of the product is to help hoteliers subscribe to this credit to renovate their hotel fairly quickly, with the most streamlined process possible. Provided that this reimbursement is made regularly, the State will therefore reimburse quarterly the amount of interest which will have been paid by this company.
