Michel Leblanc will leave the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal

The president and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal, Michel Leblanc, will leave his position next spring, after 16 years of commitment.

“After much consideration, I have informed the Board of Directors of my intention to leave my position during the spring of 2025. I will leave the Chamber with a feeling of accomplishment. Since my arrival in January 2009, we have achieved great things which have contributed to relaunching the metropolis,” declared Michel Leblanc in a press release on Wednesday.

The president of the board of directors of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal, Philippe Johnson, for his part, took pains to highlight “Michel’s immense contribution to the economic vitality of Montreal as well as his unwavering commitment to the Chamber and the business community over the past 16 years,” we can also read.

“Under his leadership, the Chamber led numerous initiatives that shaped the economic landscape of the metropolis. Whether with I see mtlthe series International leaders, MTL Relaunches or I like working downtownMichel’s vision made it possible to place the Chamber at the heart of all major issues. He leaves behind a leading, strong and influential organization,” he continued.

The board of directors of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal has set up a selection committee, which will be supported in its approach by a specialized firm, it was specified.
