Kenneth Kwesiga (pictured) is a Ugandan computer scientist and technology entrepreneur. He is co-founder and CEO of ioTec Ltd, a business-to-business financial technology company.
Founded in 2020, ioTec Ltd is a fintech licensed and regulated by the Central Bank of Uganda. The company’s mission is to develop secure financial solutions, bringing financial services closer to individuals and businesses through intuitive digital channels.
ioTec offers businesses a secure platform that simplifies the provision of financial services. In particular, it allows you to send and receive payments, rigorously verify the identity of customers, assess their solvency and submit credit reports to assessment organizations. Thanks to its solutions, companies remain in permanent contact with their customers while ensuring efficient and transparent management.
Alongside his role at ioTec, Kenneth Kwesiga serves on the Board of Directors and the Technology and Innovation Committee of FITSPA Uganda. The Financial Technology Service Providers Association (FITSPA) is the fintech regulator in Uganda.
The entrepreneur is a graduate of the Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology in India, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in computer applications in 2010. He also holds a master’s degree in business management and administration obtained in 2019 from the Edinburgh Business School of Heriot-Watt University in Scotland, United Kingdom.
Kenneth Kwesiga’s professional career began in 2009 as a software engineer at Data Care, a Ugandan consulting company. In 2014, he joined Laboremus Group AS, a Norwegian fintech, where he successively held the positions of software engineer, quality assurance engineer, technical project manager, then head of operations. In 2018, he became Head of Business and Enterprise Solutions at fintech Mcash Uganda, where he also served as Director of Operations between 2020 and 2021.
