In Algeria, outgoing president Abdelmadjid Tebboune re-elected with 84.3% of the vote

According to the final results announced on Saturday by the President of the Constitutional Court, Abdelmadjid Tebboune was re-elected as President of Algeria with 84.3% of the vote.

Outgoing Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune was re-elected on September 7 with a score of 84.3% of the vote, according to final results announced on Saturday, September 14 by the President of the Constitutional Court, Omar Belhadj.

Based on preliminary figures, the electoral authority Anie announced last Sunday a victory for Abdelmadjid Tebboune, with 94.65% of the votes cast. According to the Court, the turnout, the main issue in the election, was 46.10%, and not an average of 48% as indicated by Anie.
