The Brussels trainer and next mayor of Watermael Boitsfort, David Leisterh, was forced to close the restaurant that he had taken over with a friend two years ago. He points out the difficulty of “finding staff” and the amount of expenses “too high”.
The “Vieux Boitsfort” closes its doors. The last service took place on Wednesday, November 27, at noon. Its owner, David Leisterh, who has become an emblematic figure of the Brussels MR, took over this restaurant with a friend. In a text published on social networks and written since “his favorite table in the restaurant”, the Brussels trainer says he has “the crippled heart”. “This closure overwhelms me, he writes. I don’t understand it. It’s an unspeakable injustice for my partner who gave his whole life to it, along with his son.”
Few staff, too many expenses
To justify the closure, David Leisterh evokes a staff “hard to find” and charges “too high” to pay. “Despite full rooms almost every evening, making ends meet remains difficult if not impossible for the small business that we are/were”dit David Leisterh.
