Like every year, the Christmas bonus is paid to more than 2 million French people. But is it possible to receive it if you already receive the activity bonus?
As the end-of-year holidays approach, this is one of the aids most awaited by the most modest households: the Christmas bonus. This year again, 2.3 million French people, Beneficiaries of certain social minimums from the Family Allowance Fund (CAF) and France Travail, will be paid a minimum amount of 150 euros, which can go up to 500 euros, depending on the case.
But can we benefit from the Christmas bonus, if we already receive the activity bonus, the aid received by workers with modest incomes? The answer is yes. The two aids, completely independent of each other, can be combined, but under two conditions.
BE ELIGIBLE FOR RSA BUT NOT THAT
To benefit from this help from the State, you must receive the activity bonus and the Active Solidarity Income (RSA) in November or December 2024. Add to this that your household resources must not be greater than the amount of the RSA which corresponds to the composition of your family.
For example: a person in a relationship with two children receives both the activity bonus and the basic RSA in November. If the household resources are less than 1,334.98 euros per month (figures in force in 2024), then this family will be eligible for the Christmas bonus in addition to the activity bonus.
Who can receive the Christmas bonus?
If there is no specific step to take to benefit from it, you must still be, in November or December 2024, in one of these three situations:- benefit from active solidarity income (RSA)
- have the specific solidarity allowance (ASS)
- the retirement equivalent allowance (AER)
To these are also added the beneficiaries of the flat-rate bonus for resumption of activity, the remuneration of France Travail training (RFFT) and the remuneration of vocational training trainees (RSFP).
If you receive the Return to Employment Allowance (ARE), that is to say unemployment benefits, the Disabled Adult Allowance (AAH) or the minimum old age, you are unfortunately not entitled to the Christmas bonus. On the other hand, if you are an employee, you may be affected by the company Christmas bonus.
CAF will make the payments on Friday December 17, 2024, we learned on Tuesday November 26.Related News :
