The event was eagerly awaited by the financial community, but did not hold any major surprises. In office for 80 days, the new general director of Nestlé, Laurent Freixe, presented on Tuesday to investors gathered at the headquarters of Vevey (VD) his action plan to revive the struggling food giant.
The main axes were certainly already known. With the chairman of the board of directors Paul Bulcke, Laurent Freixe launched the slogan “forward to basics”. Clearly, Nestlé must return to its old strengths: operational excellence, focus on customers and regaining market share.
