This integration could be launched as early as the first quarter of 2025. Enrollment in the France Identity app is easier than other methods; an experiment in 23 departments has already enabled 400,000 people to register their Vitale card in the ApCV application, but the process is particularly long and convoluted. The merger of France Identity with the Vitale card would also have the merit of not weighing too heavily on public finances compared to other projects envisaged so far, such as the merger with the CNIe or a Vitale card with fingerprint recognition. digital.
