Colorado increases its net profit to 21 MDH in the first half

Colorado’s net profit reached 21 million dirhams (MDH) in the first half of 2024 (H1-2024), up 30.6% compared to the same period a year earlier.

This increase is attributable to the improvement in the gross margin of 13.9% to 107 MDH, indicates a press release from Colorado, whose Board of Directors met last Wednesday under the chairmanship of Mr. Abed Chagar, to examine activity and close the accounts as of June 30, 2024.

According to the same source, the increase in the gross margin is explained by the increase in the margin rate which rose to 38.1%, compared to 31.7% at the end of June 2023.

Regarding turnover, it recorded a slight drop of 5.1% to 282 MDH and the tonnage sold fell by 3.2% to 26 thousand tonnes.

In terms of outlook, Colorado should continue to benefit from lower input prices through the end of the year.

Cement sales experienced good momentum during the months of July and August 2024. If this momentum continues by the end of the year, the company should see its sales increase during the second half of 2024.
