The Q6 e-tron is perhaps too little visible on the market. To make people talk about him, he chose a path that we didn’t necessarily expect. Audi is focusing on an extreme off-road aspect for its latest electric SUV.
Too wise the Audi Q6 e-tron? This is obviously what certain engineers at Audi think, who have decided to release an ultimate version. But if you have the Audi RS5 or RS6 in mind, you are not on the right track, since it is indeed an extreme off-road variant that is on the program. The Q6 Offroad name echoes the brand’s various Allroad station wagons and shows that we are well beyond that.
With its impressive ground clearance, the Q6 Sportback is no longer the smooth and aerodynamic SUV. This increased ground clearance is obtained with the installation of portal axles. This also makes it possible to install large wheels fitted with all-terrain tires, which require wider fenders to pass. For good measure, the Q6 Offroad Concept receives a new shield with additional optics, and a roof rack with additional lighting here too.
It’s just a concept. No series production is planned for this new model. However, Audi could be tempted by a limited edition of a few dozen examples. However, this concept comes a little late. Audi did win the Dakar with its RSQ e-Tron, but that was in January 2024. Since then, the brand with the rings has left the category and is preparing its arrival in Formula 1.
