A renowned German fashion store chain will set up shop at GRIDX

The more the months pass, the more the GRIDX project in Wickrange, along the A4 motorway, reveals its immensity. It must be said that 2025 should mark the grand opening of this absolutely pharaonic multi-experience complex, imagined by the Félix Giorgetti company.

A project based on three pillars: crafts, retail and events. Concretely, we are talking about a welcoming site at the same time: a hotel with 133 rooms, a Motorworld space which will accommodate exceptional vehicles, a digital art museum, an event hall, a leisure space, a catering offer insane, office spaces but also thousands of square meters dedicated to shops.

High-end and luxury

It is precisely this last point that is being discussed this Friday. Indeed, we learned that the German department store chain Engelhorn was going to set up within GRIDX, on an area of 5,000 m². Founded in 1890 and based in Mannheim, the Engelhorn chain is clearly positioned in the high-end segment, combining fashion, luxury and sport, to offer a more premium shopping experience.

The chain offers multi-brand clothing for men, women and children, as well as sporting goods and luxury products. In addition to the classics Nike, Adidas, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren, it also sells products from more prestigious brands like Prada, Gucci, Balenciaga, Stone Island, Bottega Veneta and Ami.

“An attractive environment”

In short, a sort of German counterpart to Galeries Lafayette, all things considered of course. “This is indeed a new partner for the retail part of the GRIDX project,” confirms Stéphanie Schleich, marketing and communications manager for the project, who adds that the products and clothing offered will correspond to Luxembourg trends.

According to FashionUnitedit is Peter Eberle, former general manager of Reischmann (another German company specializing in fashion), who we find at the helm of Engelhorn’s arrival in Luxembourg, supported by CEO Fabian Engelhorn as well as by the Luxembourg promoter, Félix Giorgetti.

On LinkedIn, Peter Eberle recalled how the project of the Giorgetti family business is unique in its kind. “The Engelhorn brand will be able to establish itself here in an attractive environment within the Greater Region of Luxembourg, Belgium and , characterized by high purchasing power. The store will feature a mix of high-end and luxury fashion, beauty products, accessories and footwear, as well as urban sportswear.”
