“I just opened my snack at work and one of the cashews has like a string going through it. Any idea what that is?!”, mentioned the user who nicknamed himself “thecanadiangentleman”.
In the three photos accompanying its publication, we can indeed see a string which seems to pass through a nut taken from a bag of Kikland brand cashew nuts.
In the comments under the post, the first responder has a completely logical explanation to explain the presence of the little piece of rope.
“Strings are used to harvest cashew nuts from the plant. Looks like one got stuck,” this person wrote.
That’s probably what happened, but it’s still…unpleasant.
-At least, as another commenter mentioned, he got free dental floss.
