Also kidnapped and sequestered, his partner was released this Thursday “thanks to the mobilization of the gendarmerie, the GIGN and the national cyber unit”, indicates the Paris prosecutor's office. This second sequestration had been rumored for many hours, without official confirmation.

At midday, the Paris prosecutor's office indicated that the case continued “to mobilize investigators, with the aim of identifying and arresting all the perpetrators of this crime”.
-The investigation, in the hands of the Specialized Interregional Jurisdiction (Jirs) of Paris since Wednesday, concerns “the offense of kidnapping and sequestration by a gang organized to obtain the execution of a condition: the criminals have in fact demanded the payment of a large ransom in cryptocurrency. This is a crime punishable by life imprisonment,” specifies the Paris prosecutor’s office.
