OneUp presents its very first pair of clipless pedals for mountain biking! After years of building a solid reputation in the flat pedal segment, the brand unveils this model soberly called “clip pedals”. What can OneUp offer? Presentation :
The OneUp philosophy does not change: “We want to offer products that we would want to ride on our own bikes with, and buy with our own money. » The Canadian brand even announces “the thinnest automatic pedal in the world” with 26.8 mm announced. This characteristic allows the pedal to offer a wide platform without increasing the risk of impact with the ground, and to contain the weight.
OneUp pedals are presented as versatile: “Light enough for cross-country, durable enough for downhill. » With its platform, it will certainly be aimed more at all-mountain and gravity practices.
The platform, in fact, has been designed to be in real contact with the shoe, in order to provide more support and control to the foot. Four removable adjustment pins allow you to personalize this contact.
The pedals are announced as compatible with the SPD standard and thus usable with cleats from Shimano or other brands using the same system. The fixing/jaw system is specific to OneUp. The brand announces that it eliminates potential play forward or backward to provide the firmest support “without sacrificing float or foot release”. A tension adjustment is also provided and is announced as wider than with Shimano.
5° of floating is possible, and the pedal “unclips” beyond 12° of rotation of the foot. Adjustment shims to position under the clips if necessary are sold with the pedals.

In terms of construction, the pedal rests on a closed cartridge housing the bearings which can also be replaced when necessary. The pins can also be replaced.
