Oba Femi is the new WWE NXT Champion.
Indeed, the dominant leader of NXT was able to win the Triple Threat Match at New Year’s Evil on January 7, 2025 to become the new champion. He was in the match with champion Trick Williams and runner-up contender Eddy Thorpe.
Oba Femi was able to avoid Trick Williams’ finisher and push it back onto Thorpe who had a chair in his hands. Which rang Williams and Thorpe because of the chair. Femi finished with his Powerbomb on Williams for the three count.
Oba Femi’s victory:
Oba Femi is in his second championship reign in NXT since he won the North American title in 2024. While Trick Williams won the title on October 1, 2024 for the debut of the CW Network and recorded a reign of 93 days.
Now it’s Oba Femi who won the NXT Championship for the 2025 premiere of NXT and the premiere of NXT on Netflix internationally.
