BMW iX3: the revolution is underway
The news from the propeller firm will be busy in 2025. The big piece, if we can put it that way, will be the second version of the BMW iX3 electric SUV. The latter will make its revolution by releasing the Neue Klasse technical platform which it will lend, in 2026, to the BMW i3, the alter ego of the BMW 3 Series. First in line, the BMW iX3 intends to redefine the standards of the segment by bringing high voltage battery technology (800 V) synonymous with rapid recharging – count on enough to cover 300 km recovered by spending only 10 minutes at the socket, while also benefiting of comfortable autonomy. The brand announces a range of 600 km. And so that this high-level rowing does not go unnoticed in traffic, the appearance of the family leisure vehicle will focus on clean lines, breaking with those of the models in the thermal ranges.
Restyled BMW iX: more power and range
Marketed since fall 2021, the BMW iX will undergo restyling in 2025. An evolution that is more technical than cosmetic, for the man who was the precursor of a new style for the Munich firm. Engineers looked into its innards to optimize the powertrain. There will be more power and more autonomy on the menu: enough to stand up to the Audi Q8 e-tron.

This will be a limited series of the sports estate, whose power should increase from 510 hp for the BMW M3 Touring Standard to 550 hp, for a torque value of 650 Nm. No change to the transmission, which will still rely on xDrive (4-wheel drive) through an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
A few cosmetic treats will bring a little more exclusivity to the machine, just to subtly stand out from your neighbor's “basic” M3 station wagon and to justify a more expensive addition, logical for a vehicle which will be rather rare – 2,000 units produced worldwide. We will undoubtedly have to expect, as with the BMW M3 CS Sedan, a very slight loss of weight, due to the use of carbon parts, with the consequence of a few tenths being scrounged during the 0 to 100 km/h.
BMW M2 CS: 520 hp under the hood
Just like the BMW M3 station wagon mentioned above, the BMW M2 will also be available in 2025 in a CS version. For the moment, its technical sheet remains unknown, but it is rumored among sources close to the file that 520 hp would be reached. For the record, the BMW M2 in standard configuration is 480 hp. This exclusive variant would therefore be positioned above a standard BMW M3, while remaining below an M3 CS. A perfectly respected hierarchy.

BMW X4: the SUV coupe on borrowed time?
It would be on borrowed time, according to some, BMW would not follow up on the second version of the X4, launched in July 2018 then restyled in 2021. Arguing that sales are at half mast or that customers preferred either its big brother BMW X6, more extravagant and more powerful, or, for younger buyers, its little brother the new BMW X2, BMW could do without the X4. Information to be taken with a pinch of salt. Because a new version of the BMW X4 initially announced for autumn 2025 would have its place perfectly in the range benefiting from the technical base of the new and crossing swords with the all-new generation of the Audi Q5 Sportback and the recent second-generation Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé, also launched in July 2023. To be continued. While for its part, the BMW iX4 is confirmed.
