The Thetford Convention Center vibrated on December 8 to the rhythm of the creativity and energy of young people in our region during the Place aux Jeunes Happening. Nearly 350 people gathered to experience an exceptional event, celebrating the meeting between more than 60 local artists and 20 restaurateurs from the region and surrounding areas.

A memorable evening, marked by a mysterious and festive atmosphere, which highlighted the diverse talents of our community. “The Place aux Jeunes Happening is above all a moment of sharing and discovery, where residents of our MRC were able to admire the unique talents that flourish in our territory,” explains Andréane Morin, director of the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi (CJE) from Frontenac.

This second edition was a real success, bringing together artists and entrepreneurs in the same burst of creativity. “We are proud of the result and hope that this event will become an unmissable event for young artists in the years to come,” she added.

This success was made possible thanks to the contribution and participation of several sponsors and partners. The CJE would like to take this opportunity to thank all the restaurateurs who had their magnificent products tasted and the artists who invested their time and talent.

The Caisses Desjardins in the region took advantage of the opportunity to unveil a new version of the youth scholarship program. This program, aimed at young people aged 13 to 35, highlights the inspiring and innovative projects carried out by young people in the region, whether they are students or not. Nearly 22 winners received a grant for their initiatives submitted in one of the six proposed themes. Nearly thirty scholarships from the Desjardins Foundation were awarded.

All winners, accompanied by their family and friends, were able to participate in a unique moment to crown their success. The event will return next year.
