Extremely rare incident at this Leclerc service station. Motorists complained of breakdowns when refueling on Tuesday, December 17. For more than two hours, the diesel and gasoline were actually reversed!

Several motorists broke down in quick succession when leaving a service station near on Tuesday, December 17, reports L'Hebdo de Sèvre et Maine. Some of them came forward on social media.

A vehicle “broke down 3 kilometers later”, another just a few kilometers further… Simple coincidence? Absolutely not.

These chain failures are in fact explained by human error. “During its delivery of fuel, the carrier accidentally reversed the diesel and the SP95 E10 in the tanks,” explains the Leclerc after-sales service to our colleagues. For a little over 2 hours, diesel was on sale under theappealn SP95 E10, and vice versa.

The store assured that its service station would be “fully back in service by Thursday morning”. “Customers who have suffered damage will of course be taken care of,” customer service continues.
