These photovoltaic panel scams have become commonplace over the years and affect more and more individuals fooled by unscrupulous companies.

In Carmaux, Marie Sikora is one of these many victims. “I met a salesperson who explained to me that before deciding anything, it was first necessary to carry out a study to determine if the orientation of the house allowed good electricity production, if the financial means allowed this credit, and if the house did not belong to a protected building of the historical monument type. If these three conditions were met, I could order, and the company would carry out this study. I was fully reassured.”

Eighteen panels would then be installed for an amount of €34,900, a thermodynamic tank connected directly to the panels, and a blower system installed in the attic to save on heating.

But for the client: “€34,900 was not within my means, so it was an immediate no. The salesperson then explained to me that I could sell my electricity each month, and that the sale of it would allow me to pay the monthly loan payments. It was a white operation. I agreed to sign the request to study my file. »

But what Marie Sikora signed was in fact a disguised order form. “And when the company contacted me again to tell me that I was eligible without any written results of this study being presented to me, the withdrawal period had passed. »

Today, the victim of the scam is in over-indebtedness. “I found myself unable to pay the monthly payments of €313. The resale of my electricity amounts to €400 per year. For state aid, I only received €3,000, €1,500 at the time of installation then €300 every year at the same time as the resale of my electricity for 5 years. »

And Marie Sikora added: “I therefore decided to sue them which I lost last June because there is no proof that the facts took place as I present them. The only way for me to establish proof of their method is to find other people who have suffered the same scenario. The company and the bank deny having proposed to carry out the study and deny the principle of the white operation. Of course I appealed my trial, which will take place next March.”
