“A world first” in aeronautics and it has to be in . The Aura Aéro company flew Integral E, the electric version of the two-seater aircraft dedicated to training, aerobatics and leisure, for the first time on Tuesday. Quieter and environmentally friendly, Aura Aero's new two-seater paves the way for the decarbonization of light aviation.

Taking advantage of a light wind and suitable weather conditions, the first Integral E prototype, registered F-WIAE, set off from the Toulouse-Francazal track this morning at 8:48 a.m. “This is a very emotional day for all the Aura Aero teams. The first flight of Integral E is a huge step forward,” rejoiced Jérémy Caussade, president and co-founder of Aura Aero.

A renewal for training schools

“This device is one of the first to respond, in an electric version, to numerous needs expressed by training schools and flying clubs,” added the president. Integral E will also be offered in a glider tug version.

When it enters service in 2026, this aircraft will have a flight endurance of nearly an hour and a super-charging capacity of 30 minutes. Its unrivaled performance will also halve the cost per flight hour compared to a thermal aircraft in this category.

There are many electric or solar-powered aircraft such as Panthera from Pipistrel, the Elektra Trainer from Elektra Solar or the Elektra Eagle Ops.
